Make your own ice tea at home for about 5 cents a glass. Stop buying bottled tea, and start brewing your own. It’s super easy to do, and you can even recycle beverage containers for tea on the go.
Homemade Ice Tea

Ingredients
- To Make Half Gallon of Tea
4 4 tea bags
8 cups 8 water
1/2 cup 1/2 sugar (optional)
- Ratio per 16oz Glass of Tea
1 1 tea bag
2 cups 2 water
1 tbsp 1 sugar
Directions
- BOIL HALF THE WATER: Fill beverage container or pitcher with drinking water. Pour half of the water into a small pan, and bring to a boil.
- STEEP THE TEA: Add the tea bags and let steep 5-10 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
- SWEETEN IF DESIRED: Add the sugar and mix to solved.
- POUR INTO CONTAINER: Pour tea mixture back into the beverage container or pitcher.

Notes
- If pouring over ice, consider steeping the tea longer for a stronger tea, as the ice will dilute the tea.
