Buttercream Frosting for Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup 1/2 butter (1 stick)
3 cups 3 confectioner’s sugar
1/2 tsp 1/2 vanilla
1-3 tbsp 1-3 milk, as needed
food coloring as desired
Directions
- Cut butter into small pieces.
- Using a mixer, add butter and 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar. Mix until smooth. Keep adding confectioner’s sugar, 1/2 cup at a time.
- Add in the vanilla.
- If too thick, thin with milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency.
- Color with food coloring.
