Ingredients
- For the egg custard, beat together:
2 2 Eggs
1/4 cup 1/4 milk
1 tsp 1 vanilla
1/2 tsp 1/2 cinnamon
1/4 tsp 1/4 baking soda
1 tbsp 1 vanilla extract
- Remaining Ingredients
2-4 slices 2-4 bread of choice, depending on bread thickness
butter, for cooking and serving
confectioner sugar, for dusting (optional)
Directions
- MAKE CUSTARD: Mix all custard ingredients together, whipping with a fork
- BREAD: Dip bread in the custard, until fully saturated on both sides.
- COOK: Cook on medium high heat in preheated skillet with butter. Flip when bread rises in the center.
- SERVE: Remove from heat and dust with confectioner’s sugar. Top with butter and syrup and serve.
