Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 butter softened (1 stick)

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 sugar

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 brown sugar

  • 1 1 egg

  • 1 tsp 1 vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 flour

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 salt

  • 3/4 cup 3/4 chocolate chips

Directions

  • With an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugars, vanilla and egg.
  • Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Add chocolate chips, finish mixing in by hand.
  • Drop dough onto cookie sheet (approximately 24 cookies).
  • Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies are done before edges turn brown.
  • Remove from oven and tap cookie sheet on counter to flatten. Cool on cooling rack.
