Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup 1/2 butter softened (1 stick)
1/2 cup 1/2 sugar
1/4 cup 1/4 brown sugar
1 1 egg
1 tsp 1 vanilla
1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 flour
1/2 tsp 1/2 baking soda
1/4 tsp 1/4 baking powder
1/4 tsp 1/4 salt
3/4 cup 3/4 chocolate chips
Directions
- With an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugars, vanilla and egg.
- Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until combined.
- Add chocolate chips, finish mixing in by hand.
- Drop dough onto cookie sheet (approximately 24 cookies).
- Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies are done before edges turn brown.
- Remove from oven and tap cookie sheet on counter to flatten. Cool on cooling rack.
