Ingredients
- Dry Ingredients
1-3/4 cup 1-3/4 all purpose flour
2 cups 2 sugar
3/4 cup 3/4 cocoa powder
1 tsp 1 baking powder
2 tsp 2 baking soda
- Wet Ingredients
1 cup 1 milk
1/2 cup 1/2 oil
2 2 eggs
1 tsp 1 vanilla
1 cup 1 brewed coffee
Directions
- MIX DRY INGREDIENTS: In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- MIX WET INGREDIENTS: In separate bowl, whisk together eggs, oil, milk and vanilla.
- MIX WET AND DRY TOGETHER: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix.
- ADD COFFEE: Add 1 cup coffee to cake batter.
- BAKE: Divide batter into two greased or lined 9″ round cake pans and bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.

My daughter (15) made this last night as a sheet cake. She forgot the oil. She topped with the cream cheese frosting.
It was a huge hit, so many people asked for this recipe. The entire cake is gone!
